Clean, classic, and a killer dress! This sweet Birmingham wedding is loaded with special details – we loved how they incorporated their pups in the koozie design! Congrats Blair and Russ and thanks for letting us be a part of your big day!
Notes from the bride…
Please tell us a little about your story / how you meet / etc.
We met when we were both at the University of Alabama. We became really great friends, and after a few years of knowing each other, we started dating.
What was your vision for your wedding? Favorite detail?
We didn’t have a set vision when we started planning, but I did know that I wanted a fun, yet intimate, atmosphere for us and our guests. We were able to book an unbelievable band, so I wanted the dance area to be the main focus for the night. For some reason, I was adamant about having a disco ball (or as Louise likes to call it, a mirror ball J). This also happened to be my favorite detail of the wedding, too! Louise and Neillie did an incredible job of incorporating draping and lights around the disco ball. Those additions, along with the amazing flowers from Buffy, created the fun and intimate space that I had hoped to have!
What was your favorite part of the planning?
I absolutely LOVED being able to work with Louise, Neillie, and the rest of the Mariée Ami team! Planning my wedding (all the details, etc.) was never something that I was motivated to do. I was able to talk with Louise about our overall vision for everything, and I knew that they would make everything a million times better than I could’ve imagined. My favorite part of planning was being able to trust Louise and the entire Mariée Ami team with everything; especially since I didn’t live in Birmingham during the planning. It was the most amazing feeling to know that they would take care of it all! It allowed us to focus on, and enjoy, our engagement instead of having to stress about the little details.
What was your most memorable part of the day?
As cliché as this sounds, it’s really hard to pick out just one memorable part of the day. However, I think that my most memorable part was being able to genuinely enjoy myself. I didn’t have to worry about staying on schedule, what time certain things needed to be done (cake, first dance, etc.). Those are little things that I would’ve stressed about throughout the whole day, and since Louise and Neillie were in charge of that, I was able to have one of the happiest and most memorable days of my life!
