As soon as I step out of the Birmingham bridal industry, Josh pops the question! I couldn’t be more thrilled and am so thankful I have been able to make such great friends that happen to be talented wedding pros in this town! Working with Mariée Ami last year was such a blast, and aside from getting to meet so many sweet brides, one of my favorite parts of the job was running this blog. This is why I’m so excited to get back into it as a guest poster to share my wedding planning experience! I hope you enjoy the first of multiple entries I plan to share!
First of all I should begin with the proposal…
Josh and I both share a love of the lake, and when he asked multiple times if I could take a day or two off work to go to his family’s lake house in January I began my suspicions (Josh is not the planner). It couldn’t have been more perfect. Picture sunset, a walk by the water and bench looking over all the scenery. I couldn’t have been happier!
We waited a few hours before calling family and friends, but it was hard not to tell Neillie soon after and let the planning fun begin!
Seeing my name on Mariée Amie’s signature blue binder was so exciting! We set our date for January 17th here in Birmingham at The Clubhouse on Highland. Check back for my next post for details on picking the venue, style board and later finding my dream dress at Ivory and White!
