We love working with the Shindigs catering crew, especially when there is a signature cocktail involved! They are always stirring up something new and their latest “honeysuckle peach sparkler” did not disappoint! Just in time for July 4th celebrations, this fresh summer concoction is sure to be a hit!
Honeysuckle Peach Sparkler
2 oz. Sparkling Wine
1 oz. 360 Georgia Peach Vodka
1 oz. Cathead Honeysuckle Vodka
1 oz. *Honeysuckle Syrup
1/2 oz. Gran Marnier
1/2 oz. Fresh Citrus-Lemon Juice
1/2 oz. Aperol
In a cocktail shaker combine all ingredients beside your choice of sparkling wine. Fill the shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a larger glass like a collins that has been half filled with pellet ice then top with the sparkling wine. Garnish with strawberry.
*Honeysuckle Simple Syrup (makes 1.5 cups)
1 c. of sugar
1 c. of water
50 Honeysuckle blossoms (stripped of leaves and stems)
1. In a small saucepan combine sugar, water, and honeysuckle blossoms over medium-high heat stirring constantly. Bring mixture to a boil; reduce heat to low and simmer for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved.
2. Remove from heat, and cool completely. Strain into an airtight container. Store simple syrup in refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
